Sentence case for buttons and labels

Many product UIs label actions insentence case (“Save draft”) rather than Title Case (“Save Draft”) or ALL CAPS. Headlines can still use Title Case; controls stay quieter.

Why teams pick sentence case

• Faster to scan in dense forms.
• Fewer debates about which short words to capitalize.
• Matches ordinary reading rhythm —title vs sentence.

Worked examples

1. Button: Create account (not Create Account if your style guide says sentence case).
2. Label: Email address.
3. Page title may remain Title Case —headline title case·ALL CAPS cleanup.
