Guides/Oven temperature C to F
Oven temperature: C to F
Oven recipes switch between °C and °F constantly. Exact conversion: °F = °C × 9/5 + 32. Printed recipes often round to familiar dial numbers (350 °F, 180 °C).
Quick table
- 160 °C → 320 °F
- 180 °C → 356 °F (often labeled 350 °F)
- 190 °C → 374 °F (often 375 °F)
- 200 °C → 392 °F (often 400 °F)
- 220 °C → 428 °F (often 425 °F)
Worked examples
- 180 °C: 180 × 1.8 + 32 = 356 °F.
- 350 °F → °C: (350 − 32) × 5/9 ≈ 176.7 °C ≈ 180 °C in many books.
- Fan / convection: some recipes lower the set temp — follow the recipe’s own note, not only the scale conversion.
